Austrian Airlines marks 25 years of operations at Pristina Airport



On 26 March 2000 an Austrian Airlines aircraft landed in Pristinafor the first time. Since then, the airline has continued increasing service and destinations from Pristina and additional Lufthansa Group airlines also opened routes from Pristina. Due to its favorable geographical position in the heart of Europe, Vienna is an ideal hub between East and West. Austrian Airlines operates a global route network of more than 120 destinations and connects Austria with Europe and the whole world via its Vienna Hub. Currently, the Lufthansa Group airlines offer up to 50 weekly flights from Pristina. The upcoming summer schedule includesAustrian Airlines up to 14 weekly flights between Pristina and Vienna, SWISS 3 weekly flights to Geneva, Edelweiss 14 weekly flights to Zurich, Eurowings 18 weekly flights to various German destinations, including 5 to Düsseldorf, 4 to Stuttgart, 3 to Frankfurt, 1 to Hamburg, and 2 to Hannover. The immense network allows passengers to fly via Lufthansa Group hubs to 310 destinations in 101 countries around the world. These connections facilitate easy access to popular European locations and destinations worldwide, including the USA and Asia.
